Cayenne Pepper and Lemon Diet

The Cayenne pepper and Lemon diet is a cleansing regimen that would help detoxify your digestive system and at the same time help you lose weight.

The Cayenne pepper and Lemon diet which you’d have to drink for at least 10 days would consist of the following:

- 2 tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice.
- 2 tablespoons of grade-b organic maple syrup
- 1/8 - 1/2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper
- 1 cup of distilled water
If you have diabetes, the creator of this diet Mr. Stanley Burroughs recommends that you use molasses in lieu of the maple syrup during the first few days of the diet. Remember to consult your physician first before going through the cleanse because if you have some already existing ailments, undergoing the diet might worsen your health.

Okay, back to the diet. You would have to drink at least 6-12 glasses of the lemonade solution everyday. You cannot take any food or food supplements while you are doing the diet. If you feel hungry just drink another glass of the lemonade solution. What you’re basically doing is juice fasting. If you need to lose weight use lesser amounts of maple syrup but if you want to gain weight then use as much as you want. You also shouldn’t vary the amount of juice in every glass you take keep it at a consistent amount. Do not drink any other liquids beside the Cayenne pepper diet juices and water.

During the whole period while you are doing the Cayenne pepper and Lemon diet remember to also drink herbal laxative tea each and every morning. But do not drink it more than twice a day. You should also need to do a salt water flush, every morning. To do this, you need to ass 2 teaspoons of sea salt to about 1 quart of water. Don’t use table salt. Mix the solution and drink the entire thing – make sure to do this as soon as you get up. The taste is nasty so drink it as quickly as you can. Drinking this would stimulate bowel movement within an hour or so, so do this at home or at least somewhere with a toilet.

So what do you do after the fast? This part is also crucial. Doing it the wrong way can have some serious repercussions. Slowly introduce solid foods back into your everyday diet. You should start with broths and soups and then add raw fruits and vegetables later on. Don’t start gorging on food immediately after the fast as that could cause some problems. You can start having salads the second day after you finished. But continue in drinking the cayenne pepper and lemonade drink during the morning. Do not eat meat or milk immediately; wait for a few days before you do.

The Cayenne pepper and lemon diet might be a little difficult to cope with so it’s not recommended for everyone. People who have busy schedules might find it harder than the average person. But if you really want to do it, for your health’s sake, don’t forget to consult your physician first. This is to help ensure that you are in the right condition to do.
